Looking Back on 2006...

Well, the start of 2006 for me is like...

Yeah!!! SPM can kiss my ass and I have something like a 6 months holiday!!!

Then I started working at a hardware store during the Chinese New Year Promotion...

Oh yeah! The SPM results day... Hmmm... Meeting of friends that you'd never see during your bumming off days...

And... Helped my dad with the renovation of the house, where as the whole car porch is tiled and extended the length of it... Added a roof over the extension and now works as a nursery for plants and flowers...

Seen plenty of weirdos and even came in contact with one... -.-"

Went to Uniten for my Foundations in Civil Engineering...

Seen lecturers that said, "If you don't understand this chapter, just pray that it doesn't come out in the finals... "

Went back home after the first semester...

Came back here for the second, spent a lonely Christmas and ain't know what I'm gonna do for my New Year countdown... Sianz...

Photo Post... Photographs that I never posted...

Hahaz... Since its coming to the end of 2006, why not post something that you'd think that you forgotten about?

Well, these are the pics that I took that I thought I deleted or just left behind at the back of the hard drive...

So, here goes...

Ah~ The Uni's Chinese Society freshie camp where you'd get yourself tied up... To a banana... -.-"

2nd Sem hell...

Yeah... The second semester of my studies has started at the most crappy time ever, which is on December... Yeah... I'll kill for it to have it started on Jan, like most of the Uni here..

And most of the lecturers I have are... -.-" lets not go there...

Good impression on the first day? Heck! Why don't you take an MC on the first day of class and let the students wait for half an hour. Tutorials? Heck! My first tutorial the lecturer was gone wind and that was on the day which I have only one class for that whole day!!! And the class started at 8 am in the morning!

Now, lets test how fast students can run from the the east side of the campus to the west part! It is a good 2-3km from the tip of the west campus to the east side... -.-"

Now... Ever meet Mr. Voon number two??? For those that don't know him... He was my teacher for History and Moral Ed when I was in form 5. He lets us know crap. Something that can be taught in 15 minutes will take him an hour... Partly because he drags the topic that somehow on the offside links to his past, which we don't care cause it doesn't have anything to do with the class. Well, my computer ed class lecturer is like that... But... He targets people... Namely me.. Crap...

Ok... Now about my rant when I got back to KL..

Airasia have met a new low at being on time... My flight was delayed for 5 hrs... The worst part is that my phone's battery wont last if i played with it... Haiz.. Reached KL at 3 am... Fuck! I'm supposed to reach there at 10 pm man!!!

Ah... Will soon post what happened this year and some pics that I never posted.. Hehe..

Ah~... Just a few hours before I leave home.. Again...

Ain't nothing much to say, except maybe that it has been an "eventful" week.
Things happen, which sometimes I hoped that it didn't...
Sigh...

Heavy hearted just to leave home. Thinking that I'll have to leave my mums cooking, my friends, and the pace that life goes on here...

Well, it seems that it is back to KL until Chinese New Year when I'll come home... Can't wait till its February...

KL... You suck my life into your pace, feels kinda reluctant to getting used to the life in KL once again after being reintroduced to the life here at home...

Hmmm... Gonna get used to eating dinner at 8 pm again... Hehe...

Hmm....

PC or Laptop or Mac???

Hmmm...

If I were to go tower madness, the specs will be... [ Budget RM 3500 ]

Option A

Intel E6400 @ 2.13GHz
Gigabyte P965 DS3
NVIDIA 7600 GS
1 GB RAM
160 GB HDD

OR

Option B

Intel E6300 @ 1.83GHz
Gigabyte P965 S3
NVIDIA 7600 GT
512 MB x2 Dual Channel @ 533MHz with 4-4-4-10 timings
160 GB HDD

When it will all add up to RM3500 ( at time of post) when you include other things...

Option A has a higher overclocking potential because the motherboard and processor are fun to overclock. While Option B offers more than average gaming performance right from the start... Hmm... OS... hehehehe... experiment with Jobbs...

Or should I get a notebook??

With Dell 6400 configured to my likings, it cost up to RM 3932.

Specs:

Intel T5600 @ 1.83 GHz
ATI Mobility X1400
512 MB x2 RAM with no Dual Channel...
80GB HDD @ 5400 rpm... (so sad...)

Performance wise?? Crap compared with my Option A..

Or get a HP at RM5699

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Specs:

Intel T5600 @ 1.83GHz
NVidia Go 7400
512 MB RAM.
80GB HDD @5400 rpm (yikes!!! )

Kinda a rip off don't you think compared with Dell??

All these crap means I'd rather get an iMac at the low-low price of RM3999... Though I wont be able to carry it to Starbucks, but hey, at least carrying it back home wont be much trouble??? Hmmm....

[Gotta say, looks rather attractive... ]

Specs:

Intel T5600 @ 1.83 GHz
ATI Radeon X1600
512MB RAM
160GB HDD @ 7200 rpm

I'll bet that the graphics of the games that goes on this machine will be spectacular since its a Mac... It'll beat all the other laptops hands down. Though it would get its butt kick by my Option A, its a beauty that don't hum loudly compared to other PCs... Hmm... Thinking...

All Intel Core 2 Duo processors you say? Well, for desktops, I wont see any other choice unless someone gets me the spanking brand new AMD 4X4 platform that has two Dual Core chips on one motherboard... An FX-70 would do just nice... Though it would need a 800-1000W power supply, a RM 1500 motherboard and ear muffs just so that you don't loose your hearing...

All things aside, I just go with a 'PC', that is either Option A or Option B.

Why?

- Its RM500 cheaper.

- Runs better in almost everything even though you wont be running with it.

- I'm able to upgrade the graphics card when the price of the DirectX 10 GPU falls and Bill Gates kill himself and Microsoft celebrates by giving us free Windows Vista OS and Office 2007.

- I can overclock the damn thing, so that in five years I'm still able to run CAD with it.

- At least I'll have a keyboard to hit enemies with.

- I don't have to be forced to bring my laptop ( if that were my option ) to group presentation with the risk of virulent thumb drives.

- NFS Carbon!!!

- F.E.A.R.!!!

- By the time I get to Lowyat to talk about price, I'll be able to not compromise and get Option C [hopefully... ]

Option C

Intel E6400 @ 2.13GHz
Gigabyte P965 DS3
NVIDIA 7600 GT
512 MB x2 Dual Channel RAM setup with 4-4-4-10 timings
160 GB HDD

Ngehehe...

If I got extra RM500 laying around, I'll get the iMac... Its compact, has reasonable performance and is by far better than any other laptops. Now all I have to do is find a power port every time I visit Starbucks??!! Hmmm... Crap...

Choices...

Sorry for boring you all... muhahahaz...
